Ay!Carmen- operita flamenca

Georges Bizet`s famous opera performed through piano, violoncello, flamenco guitar, flamenco dance and percussion- as well as 5 opera singers.

On the stage are the participants of a Juerga, a flamenco session, singers, dancers and instrumentalists. A story shows itself, a melody grows... but today in a different way than every other day.

In a flamenco pub are composed stories between men and women. First in a ironic and normal way, then with a deadly destiny... Carmen and José, Carmen and Escamillo, Micaela and José: Prototypes of relations, for specific realities. Sadness, Jealousy, Death.

A story with a lot of melody and action, tensious as an Hollywood movie.

2 hours are enough to know the main piece of operatic literature. Our resume in German show all the most important musical moments. In order to that this performance can be seen as a way to introduce students (from 8 years-old) to the Opera.

To perform as a reservation we need a 5x7 m2 Wood/Stone floor, max. ca. 25x16m2 - min. 6x 1kW, DMX-set provided.
